New Forest Beekeepers - MembershipMembership BenefitsMembership of the New Forest Beekeepers' Association is open to anyone keeping bees or wishing to learn the craft of beekeeping. Joining is easy, you can get in touch with our membership secretary for more details. Alternatively, you can simply come along to the next New Forest Beekeepers' Association meeting and introduce yourself. Your membership of the New Forest Beekeepers' Association offers a range of member benefits. Education and TrainingWe hold monthly apiary meetings from April to October where seasonal beekeeping skills are demonstrated and explained, and indoor meetings from November to March, where guest speakers give talks on a huge range of beekeeping related topics. We can also provide practical and theoretical preparation for the British Beekeepers' Association Exams. Public Liability & Bee Disease InsurancePublic Liability Cover is up to £5 million by third parties and includes product liability (someone falls ill from honey) and injury claims (a passer by is stung and holds you responsible). “Bee Diseases Insurance” (BDI) for the loss of up to three hives per member is FREE. (If your bees succumb to AFB or EFB brood diseases and your hives destroyed). BDI offers you financial help towards starting again. Members must pay extra to insure any hives above three. Reduced BBKA SubscriptionsYou are entitled to a reduced affiliated membership subscription to the British Beekeepers' Association. New Forest bNews NewsletterYou will also receive a regular newsletter with articles and details of events and what’s happening in the local and national beekeeping world. We also offer a reduced rate subscription to The Beekeepers Quarterly national magazine.
